AGME CELEBRATES ITS 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF PROVIDING AUTOMATIC ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS

AGME Automated Assembly Solutions, a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of customized machines, has recently celebrated its 70th anniversary with all its staff and distribution network. Aguirregomezcorta and Mendicute, S.A. is a family SME founded in 1948 in the Guipuzcoan town of Eibar. With a deep entrepreneurial spirit, the company began its activity producing tools and dies. In the following decades, its technicians designed and manufactured, with their own technology, the first AGME brand presses and riveting machines as well as their first modules of automatic assembly of parts and riveting centers by numerical control.

Since then, with a factory and a multidisciplinary team of 65 highly qualified people, AGME has successfully developed its two lines of activity: manufacture of standard machinery (riveting machines and presses) and design and manufacture of special machines for assembling components. After 70 years of constant evolution, this manufacturer has grown, supported by an extensive international distribution network and local partners, to become a world leader in the manufacture of riveting machines and custom machines for the automatic assembly of automotive components.

Research, development and innovation

Relying on its engineering departments of special machines, standard machinery R+D+i and automation engineering, AGME has always fostered R+D+i. As a result of this work and due to the need to meet the demands of better monitoring of results, AGME has also developed, with its own means and technology, electric presses and AGME servo electric heads. In addition, it has recently presented its fourth generation of AGME radial riveting machines, with significant improvements in its design, finish and performance.

Turnkey projects

Using its own production means, AGME Automated Assembly Solutions usually develops special complete assembly projects for the automotive components industry: from the initial design and manufacture of the solution to the final set-up of the machine in the customer's facilities. Projects with different degrees of automation: from simple manual assembly equipment to fully automated assembly lines.

International presence

Its international presence has always allowed the company to offer a fast and close local technical-commercial service and thus become a supplier to the main manufacturers of automotive components worldwide.
