12 November, 2018Fagor Arrasate decided to commit more strongly than ever to the EuroBlech fair, and for the first time it was present with 2 stands, one devoted to the automotive sector and the other to the steel sector.
This event took place for the 25th time from 23 to 26 October, it is the largest event in the world in the metal sheet sector and brings together around 1500 exhibitors every two years. It is an event that Fagor Arrasate has been attending for more than three decades.
On this occasion, it exhibited some its recently achieved milestones, such as the great step taken in its international expansion with the opening of two new service plants in Hilpoltstein, Germany and Querétaro, Mexico. Plant openings that demonstrate its commitment to offering a fast, effective and nearby after-sales service.
In the stand for the automotive industry, Fagor Arrasate presented its proposal for one of the great trends in the sector - the high-speed press lines. This is a new WaveLine Hybrid Servo press installed in an OEM for stamping large body parts, the first of its type in Europe. It works at up to 15 strokes per minute, it has synchronisation for working in continuous mode, hybrid configuration and a digital simulator, it is now one of the most advanced lines in the world in its category.
In the innovation section, Fagor Arrasate presented its e-cushion, which offers an energy-saving of 75% compared with a conventional cushion. The first will shortly be installed in a major stamping group.
Hot stamping had its place on the stand, where 3 lines installed last year for an OEM were exhibited, which demonstrates the confidence that the experience of the company generates in this sector.
In the stand devoted to metal processing, Fagor Arrasate's new high-performance cutting lines was a leading role. These lines, both cut-to length and slitting, reach speeds of up to 400 m/min. Also important in this sector are the new blanking lines that reach production rates of up to 9 million parts per year.
The stackers was an important exhibit on this stand, where efficient stacking solutions will be offered that are adapted for all types of materials and thicknesses. The recognition achieved in this sector places Fagor Arrasate as one of the global leaders in stacking technology, and the largest manufacture of Start-Stop stackers, with 102 product orders around the world. The new fully integrated software developments with the hardware and its capabilities for optimising production will also be shown on the stand.
The digital revolution of the industry was one of the central themes of EuroBlech, a challenge in which Fagor Arrasate is a benchmark. For this, the Smart Connect, FA Link MAP and Digital Twin 4.0 technologies, focused on proactive maintenance and improvement of the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicator, were present on the Fagor Arrasate stands.
