BIEMH BACK STRONGER THAN EVER FROM 13 TO 17 JUNE 2022

In a context of impetus and recovery, the biennial International Machine Tool fair -BIEMH- is getting set to return to Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 13 to 17 June 2022, bringing its usual essence, only stronger than ever. The fair, which is an international benchmark and one of Europe’s leading industrial events, will be offering a renewed version of itself to become a platform of reunion and a space that fosters trust and motivation; activates contacts and promotes innovation, business and new opportunities. Its new claim, MORE BIEMH THAN EVER, was chosen to express the commitment of the event to being a forum in pursuit of economic revitalisation in the sector.

The strategic objectives and priority lines of action of the BIEMH are already on the table after the meeting recently held by the event’s Technical Advisory Committee at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. The main points on the Committee’s agenda were to confirm dates, present the image and claim of the 2022 edition and define the event’s promotional and organisational milestones.

The meeting also analysed the situation of the machine-tool sector, which after a complex period, is presenting a positive outlook. Since October of last year, orders have been recovering notably, with orders received in the first quarter approaching 2019 levels. AFM’s forecasts indicate a strong rise in orders received, close to 25%, for 2021 overall.

The soundness of BIEMH continues to reflect the strength of its exhibitors, who are at the forefront of technological advancements and customised solutions worldwide, which is why the well-known slogan of the fair “You make it big” is being transformed this time round into “You make it big again”. In this way, the BIEMH’s team of organisers wishes to acknowledge once again the commitment, loyalty and ambition of all the companies that choose to be part of the event year after year.

The advertising campaigns for exhibitors and visitors will convey this message and are set to kick off this July and November, respectively. For the first campaign, sales efforts will be focused on countries such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, China, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey, as well as Spain, all sector leaders with a consolidated presence in this advanced technological showcase for quite some time.

The meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee was attended by representatives of AFM-Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Bilbao Exhibition Centre, co-organisers of the event, as well as member of AIMHE -the Association of Machine-Tool Importers, participating as a collaborator alongside the Basque Government.
