12 September, 2023The city of Hannover will host the world's largest fair dedicated to advanced manufacturing technologies from September 18 to 23. Focused mainly on machine tools for metal cutting and forming and production systems, precision tools, automation and, of course, industrial digitalization, EMO Hannover is the reference event in the sector.
Under the claim "Innovate Manufacturing", the main world fair for the metallurgical industry will exhibit the entire spectrum of manufacturing technologies, key to industrial competitiveness. In addition, a new independent exhibition area on IIoT in production is planned to be presented, which will bring together IT solutions of all kinds, from data analysis, data management, digital twins and cloud services to process monitoring, predictive maintenance, AI and cybersecurity.
In 2019 the EMO Hannover fair attracted 2,211 exhibitors from 47 different countries and around 120,000 professional visitors from 150 nations from all major industry sectors, such as machinery manufacturers, the automotive industry and its component suppliers, the aerospace sector, precision mechanics and optics, shipbuilding, medical technology, tool and die manufacturing, steel and light construction.
In this edition, 52 Spanish manufacturers will present their most advanced production systems at the German fair and will occupy more than 5,700 m2 of exhibition space. The outstanding strength of Basque companies in the sector is reflected by the 4,559 m2 that the 36 exhibiting companies from Euskadi have contracted.
At the institutional level, the Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mikel Amundarain, and the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza, will learn first-hand about the spectacular technological deployment of our manufacturers. accompanied by Ane Insausti, Deputy for Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects, Jon Gurrutxaga, Director of Innovation and Internationalization and Unai Andueza, Director of Economic Promotion, all of them from the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. The CEO of ICEX, María Peña Mateos, as well as a delegation from the Economic Development and Infrastructure Commission of the Basque Parliament, among others, will also visit the EMO.
The fair will be the stage for the presentation of BIEMH 2024 (Bilbao, June 3-7), through a meeting with the international media present at the event with officials from BEC and AFM, co-organizers of BIEMH.
