Automotive giant DAIMLER AG has once again collaborated with FAGOR ARRASATE for a new state-of-the art dual servo blanking line for steel and aluminum. The line was installed at the Beijing Benz facility in Beijing, China. After rigorous testing between DAIMLER & FAGOR ARRASATE staff, the line was placed into full production in January 2018.
The 800 ton servo press with Linkdrive 180mm stroke and speeds of up to 85 strokes per minute, is surrounded by FAGOR entry and exit equipment. The equipment is capable of handling steel up to 950 N/mm² and series 5000 and 6000 aluminum. The entry terminal equipment is capable of handling 30 metric ton coils. The line is configured with entry coil storage, coil car, movable decoiler, threading table, feed rolls capable of handling dry or oily material, hydraulic crop shear, cleaning brushes, FAGOR 19 Roll Cassette Corrective Leveler. The stacker is a combination magnetic/vacuum to allow for quick changeover between steel and aluminum product.
FAGOR ARRASATE will supply a tenth (10th) line dual servo blanking line for DAIMLER at their Bremen, Germany facility in the 4th Quarter of 2018.
The entire line was designed and produced at the FAGOR facility in Arrasate, Spain. FAGOR ARRASATE is a global supplier to the automotive industry.
