Fagor Arrasate, which specialises in the development of solutions for metal and composite forming and processing, recently received an order from the Vietnamese car manufacturer, VinFast, to supply a new high-flow full-servo press line for its industrial complex in Haiphong, Vietnam.
As a result of the joint work between the VinFast and Fagor Arrasate teams, a facility has been developed that is fully adapted to the needs of the client. This line consists of five servo-action presses, with a joint pressing force of 73,000 kN, distributed between a 25,000 kN press centre and four presses of 12,000 kN each. It can work with dies of up to 5,000 mm x 2,600 mm in each station.
The high speed presses with servomotors operate with high efficiency levels and outperform conventional systems, meaning a more advanced solution in terms of productivity. The installation developed for VinFast is designed for both steel and aluminium skin stamping.
Fagor Arrasate supplies the full installation, including the line front, the presses and the automation for synchronising the presses, proving once again its industrial capacity to tackle complex, large-scale projects with short turnarounds, anywhere in the world.
The line is expected to enter into production in the first half of 2024.
