The collaboration agreement was signed last 6th February with the aim of working alongside each other for the ongoing improvement of training tailored to market needs and to collaborate on technological projects involving machine tools.
Both entities are aware that partnerships formed between companies and the education system must be based on a close relationship, where they share knowledge, participate in the preparation of projects to meet future industry requirements and to facilitate the insertion of learners in the workplace.
IMH Teaching staff and researchers will receive periodic training on the latest Fagor Automation developments and will collaborate with Fagor Automation experts on various research projects. Accordingly, the Center will provide a Fagor Automation classroom and a wide range of CNC FAGOR machines to provide quality theoretical and practical training.
The aim of the agreement is to consolidate the recent achievements of Fagor Automation and the IMH, with the firm conviction that this partnership will be beneficial for training students and to develop technological projects, which will contribute to machine tool innovations in a increasingly competitive environment.

The Machine Tool Institute-IMH offers specialized Advanced Manufacturing training and provides Innovation services for companies. IMH training programs include Training Cycles, Dual Engineering Degrees, Workplace Training and On-Demand Training.It is an Integrated Vocational Training Center overseen by the Basque Government and, since 2011, the Dual Engineering University School of IMH has been a part of the University of the Basque Country.IMH is responsible for the training of the machine tool sector, being an integral part of AFM Cluster.
