The advanced manufacturing technology sector maintains its commitment to internationalisation and continues to attend the main world shows with an important deployment of companies and solutions of the sector. USA and Germany are the chosen destinations in this case, but before the year ends, manufacturers will also travel to Milan (BIMU), Iran (Teheran Industry Fair), Turkey (MAKTEK), and Hannover (EUROBLECH).
The group participation organised by AFM Advanced Manufacturing Technologies at the AMB fair in Stuttgart, from 12 to 18 September, was comprised of 25 companies, with an exhibition surface area of 1,520 m2. Furthermore, the majority of the auxiliary car industry is concentrated in this area in the south of Germany.
The results obtained at the Chicago IMTS, from 12 to 17 September, have also been good. This is considered to the most important machine tool meeting in the entire American continent. Apart from AFM, 7 companies attended the fair directly, all of them being eye witnesses of the outstanding increase in the number of visitors compared with previous years. In terms of figures, the United States were the first destination for Spanish exports in 2015, reaching the figure of 97.05 billion Euros, an increase of 78.2% with respect to 2014 figures.
