On Saturday, the 9th of July, IZAR CUTTING TOOLS S.A.L. held a fantastic party at its Boroa facilities, with an open day for workers, former partners and their respective families.
It was also a way of reviving those mythical festivities that IZAR used to organise in the 50s, in honour of St. Christopher, the company’s patron saint at that time, and which the new generation only knew about through old photographs or stories.
This year, 2016, the workers’ relatives got the chance to visit their workplaces, before throwing themselves into the party that followed the visit. A marquee was set up in the company car park, and the more than 300 people attending were able to watch whilst three chefs prepared a delicious paella. Meanwhile the children had great fun playing on inflatable castles, with table football and painting workshops. All of this was supervised by children’s monitors and people from the Red Cross, who were responsible for preventing any possible mishaps.
When the popular meal ended, the disco party started, with the resident DJ from the Gaztea radio station, Jon Urbieta. This was a great success among all the different age groups.
In short, a day to celebrate with friends and relations, an event of unity and camaraderie that the new IZAR generations will also talk about and remember for a long time.
