IZAR has made a firm commitment to including climate action at all levels of the organisation as the foundation of its management culture.
As a starting point for its future actions, during this past year, the company has measured the main electricity supply in order to avail of a broad database of daily energy consumption figures for each supply point. The average daily power use in kW and the daily cost of overall electricity supply have also been recorded. A record has also been kept of CO2 emissions and total primary energy supply (TPES).
It should be noted that a guaranteed renewable energy power supply contract has been signed, meaning that CO2 emissions in this respect are zero. The company is extremely proud of this and very satisfied with the results of the first stage of the energy audit. The energy classification of office building area is B-B for non-renewable primary energy supply and CO2 emissions.
From now on, improvements are being put in place which are geared towards adequately managing electricity demand, focusing on optimising the use of the current resources or, if applicable, replacing devices with more energy-efficient alternatives.
