On Wednesday, 2nd December, IZAR welcomed at its facilities approximately twenty entrepreneurs from key companies in the Basque Country, within the annual meetings that CEBEK, Basque employer’s organization, coordinates in the Top Enterprise programme. The meeting is a forum where entrepreneurs and executives from the most important companies in the territory can exchange knowledge, enabling them to access experiences of business excellence.
In this case, the hosts of the meeting, Carlos Pujana, managing director, and Boni Muriel, industrial director, focused on explaining the success case of the Amorebieta company, based on excellence in service and the “lean” approach of the organisation. More specifically, on how 98% of the order lines can be supplied each day, thanks to novel distribution on the shop floor, or lean manufacturing, based, in turn, on autonomous mini-companies, through which all the processes are managed. All this is done, with the help of a series of digital tools that manage and plan the daily production needs and that are responsible for managing the warehouse in real time.
The second part of the meeting consisted in observing on site the entire manufacturing, storage and distribution process of the products, where the flexibility and efficiency offered by this organisation and its tools could be appreciated.
