25 May, 2022The manufacturer from Amorebieta continues to be a reference in R&D&i in everything related to the advanced manufacturing of cutting tools and, in this way, in the last year it has participated in three Hazitek projects of the Basque Government (SPRI), which have in account the new needs that are emerging in the world of industrial machining.
In the ZIKLOI project, together with Ideko, a technological center specializing in advanced manufacturing, based in Elgoibar (Gipuzkoa), IZAR has developed an innovative range of cutting tools for composites, compatible with a new robotic internal suction head, which solves the problem of dust generation in the machining of composite materials, sucking through the tool and eliminating the risk of exposure of the operator to this dust that is harmful to the health of workers.
The APROPOS project, in collaboration with CFAA, Aeronautical Manufacturing Center of the University of the Basque Country, focuses on precision finished machining of high-performance components for the Oil and Gas markets.
Finally, MULTITEC is based on new multi-material tools using rotary friction welding technology. In this case, IZAR works with Lortek, a technology center based in Ordizia (Gipuzkoa)
These three projects in which IZAR is involved are part of the Hazitek program, which offers aid to improve the competitiveness of companies, based on projects that include R&D activities to develop new products, industrial research plans and strategic experimental development.
All these actions have been co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (FEDER).
