Tivoly group company NECO has once again been selected as one of the winners of the 2nd Open Call of the European project QU4LITY within the H2020 initiative.
QU4LITY is a far-reaching project led by the European Commission in which over 45 companies participate with the goal of creating common European strategies to promote zero defects manufacturing in Industry 4.0 by creating platforms, components and open source digital enablers.
NECO has presented its winning proposal, OMETRI, which aims to improve the quality of its products, specifically that of screw taps, by standardising and controlling their manufacturing process. To achieve this, within the framework of the project, NECO develops a module that links the data from the machine selected for the pilot trial with the geometric results measured by 3D optic measurement. With this implementation, NECO seeks to increase control and knowledge of its process and thus improve its position on the high-performance screw tap market.
This module will be an industry pioneer and will enable the life cycle of the tool to be extended and improve its performance in manufacturing. NECO continues to seek to put new technologies in place at its factory in order to keep offering its customers top quality products with high added value.
