20 March, 2024In a significant move towards sustainability and decarbonisation, ONA EDM, pioneers in EDM technologies, has announced the completion of the first phase of its renewable energy project at its Durango headquarters. This project includes the installation of more than 660 photovoltaic panels on the roof of its facilities, representing a total power of 330 kWp, marking a significant milestone in the company's commitment to the environment and energy efficiency.
The incorporation of this solar technology not only reflects ONA EDM's commitment to sustainable and responsible practices, but also represents a significant step forward in its energy self-management strategy. It is estimated that the photovoltaic panels will provide between 39% and 43% of the plant's energy consumption, a testament to the company's focus on reducing its carbon footprint and promoting clean energy.
The implementation of renewable energy solutions such as this is crucial for the future of advanced manufacturing and for society at large, demonstrating that it is possible to combine industrial production with environmental responsibility.
