PNEUMAX GROUP ACQUIRES 90% OF AUTOMATIONWARE TO STRENGTHEN ITS LEADERSHIP IN INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS

26 November, 2024Pneumax Group, a leading player in the industrial automation sector, has announced the acquisition of 90% of Automationware S.R.L., an Italian company renowned for its high-performance electric actuators. This strategic operation aims to integrate innovative technologies into Pneumax's portfolio, consolidating its position in the global automation and robotics market.

Automationware, which was born as a spin-off from the mechatronics unit of its parent company, has positioned itself as a leader in the design and manufacture of advanced electric actuators. These devices are renowned for their energy efficiency and ability to operate in demanding conditions. Their configurable design for multi-axis kinematic control makes them key tools for a variety of complex industrial applications.

The addition of Automationware will allow Pneumax to expand its offering with advanced solutions, including linear and rotary actuators, as well as integrated electric and pneumatic kinematic systems. This will strengthen its ability to develop products that meet growing market demands for connectivity, energy efficiency and adaptability. Furthermore, this integration is expected to accelerate the ‘Time to Market’ (T2M) of new solutions, a competitive advantage in a highly dynamic industry.

Rossella Bottacini, CEO of Pneumax, described the deal as one of the most important in the company's history. ‘Our goal is to create a key technological pole in Italy, which will serve as an exportable model worldwide. This move is consistent with our strategic plan of expansion through external acquisitions, and positions us to respond to the current challenges of energy efficiency and technological integration,’ said Bottacini.

The strategy behind this acquisition responds to the growing need for complete industrial systems that combine advanced technology with adaptability to the demands of the modern environment. With this expansion, Pneumax aims to serve state-of-the-art industrial and robotic applications, providing not just individual components, but custom-designed end-to-end solutions.
