The award ceremony will take place in BEC on 31 May, during the BIEMH, the Biennial Machine Tool Fair, and the awards will be presented by the Chairman of AFM, César Garbalena, and the Head of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Imanol Pradales, together with Xabier Basáñez, the Managing Director of BEC.
Another award will also be presented at the Innovation Awards ceremony, the AFM-SIF Award (Manufacturing Engineering Society), a result of the close collaboration between the two organisations. This is a special mention by AFM for the best final year project relating to the machine tool industry.
Since its inception in 1992, through DZ (now BEAZ), the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa has assisted AFM and BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Centre) in organising the awards.
