Some of AFM's partner companies have evaluated positively their participation in the Fabtech (Chicago, November 11-14) and Blechexpo (Stuttgart, November 5-7) fairs, which have closed with record participant numbers. These are the main international events for the sheet metal processing sector.
48,278 attendees from 95 countries attended Fabtech 2019. Visitors participated in four full days of product evaluation, education and collaborative discussions on key industry issues. More than 500 new products and 1,700 exhibitors highlighted emerging trends and technologies that influence the future of manufacturing. The presence of AFM's associate companies has been notable, with 12 companies exhibiting directly (Athader, Biele, Denn, Dimeco, Fagor Arrasate, Fagor Automation, Danobat, JAZ, Jordi, Lantek, Nidec Arisa and AFM itself), and many more present through distributors, thus having more than 20 attending companies.
On the other hand, the 14th edition of the international Blechexpo fair held in Stuttgart for sheet metal work successfully closed with 1,498 exhibitors from 36 countries. 41,152 visitors from a total of 113 countries attended the fair. The results have been satisfactory even though there are fears of slowdowns in investments. The participants in the fair were: Alfe, Athader, Autopulit, Cevisa, CMA, Danobatgroup, Denn, Dimeco, Diper, Ekicontrol, Fagor Arrasate, Goizper, Lantek, Lasa, Loire Gestamp, Meco, MHG, Misati, Nidec Arisa, Usotor and Vinco.
The 2020 edition of Fabtech will be held from November 18 to 20 in Las Vegas, and the next Blechexpo fair will take place in Stuttgart from November 2 to 5, 2021.
