12 February, 2024TDG Clamping Solutions has closed 2023 with a record turnover of €6.3 million, surpassing its historical best marks and the growth targets set out in its strategic plan for the period 2022-2024. This achievement comes on the heels of an equally successful 2022, where the company had already broken all its order and turnover records.
The remarkable figure achieved in 2023 is the result of an exceptional order intake during 2022 and early 2023, even anticipating a pace that would exceed 7 million euros. However, the second half of the year saw a significant slowdown in the main markets, especially in Europe. Despite this setback, the American and Asian markets, notably Taiwan and Korea, played a crucial role in sustaining TDG's exports, allowing TDG to meet and exceed the annual budget forecast.
Growth was reflected not only in turnover, but also in the increase in the average size of chucks supplied, where heavy duty chucks from the Heavy Duty and XL range, together with VTL vertical chucks and support blocks, established themselves as the star products. This year was also notable for being the period with the highest number of chucks with multiplier spindles supplied.
The achievement of these goals would not have been possible without significant improvements in the production system, driven by an internal project in collaboration with Sisteplant. The continuous improvement in areas such as planning, purchasing and production, as well as the implementation of the new Mazak Vortex-i 630V/6, have been key elements.
The recognition to this effort and success came from the hand of the association of companies of the Urdaibai, which awarded TDG for its business development and contribution to employment in the region.
Looking to the future, TDG is focusing on 2024 as a year of consolidation of the growth experienced, setting a turnover target of 6.5 million euros. The company is looking to expand its presence in key sectors such as wind, rail and aeronautics, and to continue its international expansion into markets where its presence has been limited so far, such as North Africa, Turkey, or Canada.
In addition, 2024 promises to be a year of renewal with the launch of a new and improved website, new catalogues and products, and participation in renowned international trade fairs such as BIEHM, AMB Stuttgart, Mecspe Bologna, Maktek Istanbul, and MetalMadrid. This approach not only consolidates TDG's position in the market, but also paves the way for future expansion and growth.
