One of the most important orders in the history of TDG has already been delivered and is ready to be put into operation at the client's facilities.
This collaboration has lasted several months, during which TDG have had the pleasure of working side-by-side with the company GMTK (Maher Holding) to develop this linear exchanger, composed of 14 automatic and face pallets measuring over 2 metres in diameter, and three multi-process vertical lathes for aeronautic and wind energy market, accompanied by their respective pallet holders.
As a result of this engineering work with TDG-GMTK, an interchange system with unprecedented precision has been achieved for these diameters.
With this important development, TDG has firmly established itself in the pallet exchanger market, after having previously supplied several roto pallet units - a simpler solution, but at the same time highly desirable in terms of improving vertical lathe process times.
Another order for a pallet exchanger
Practically at the same time that they delivered their first linear exchanger for a large flexible cell, TDG Clamping Solutions has won another project of great strategic importance for the century-old company.
This is another exchanger, this time of a design colloquially called the "daisy", consisting of a centring station, 3 waiting positions and the pallet of the lathe itself for the manufacture of big valves. On this occasion, the exchanger will be equipped with several smooth plates of sizes between 1.2m and 1.4m
This configuration is perfect for space optimisation and serial production, and is the only one that was missing from TDG's portfolio after having delivered a linear exchanger for 14 pallets and several rotary pallet units composed of just 2 pallets.
All these new developments are the result of TDG's new approach after a period of strategic reflection and a key part of the new 2019-2021 strategic plan, as part of which TDG is committed to becoming a technological leader among manufacturers of custom-made mooring solutions for special applications.
