The project pursues the development of a new generation of digitally replicated and sensorized machines and processes to offer intelligent assistance during the definition of processes, as well as guarantees of quality and productivity during their execution.
SMART-EASY aims to develop a new generation of machine tools that are equipped with sensorized mechatronic components and connected to network servers, and with artificial vision technologies and digital operating environments equipped with user assistance and consultancy software applications.
These new machine tools will contribute to simplify and streamline the definition and launch phase of the manufacturing processes, will incorporate the supervision of the execution phase of said manufacturing processes in a continuous and autonomous way and will periodically suggest to their users new manufacturing and predictive maintenance strategies in order to ensure optimized manufacturing processes in terms of efficiency, quality, reliability and productivity at all times.
It is a consortium led by Nicolás Correa in which IBARMIA, GNC HYPATIA, SHUTON, TALLERES MYL, INMAPA AERONÁUTICA, ALAVA INGENIEROS, MonoM, TECNALIA, the University of Burgos and the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) participate.
The Smart Easy project is an action funded by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
