EMO MILANO 2021, the leading world fair related to advanced manufacturing technologies, will showcase the latest developments and know-how in this industry from the 4th to the 9th of October in Milan. Promoted by CECIMO, the European Association of the machine-tool industry, and organized by UCIMI-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian Association of Manufacturers of machine-tools, robots and automation systems, the show, with its title “the magic world of metalworking”, will present future-looking technologies for social progress and well-being aimed at the most advanced industrial sectors: machine tools, automotive, aeronautical, railways, metal machining and materials. EMO MILANO 2021 will have exhibitors from over 30 countries, especially Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, China and Korea.
The event was presented yesterday in an on-line press conference with the participation of the president of AFM Cluster,Cesar Garbalena, their Managing Director, Xabier Ortueta, The director of the Italian Agency of Commerce in Madrid, Cecilia Oliva, and Barbara Colombo, president of UCIMI-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE.
The Spanish machine-tool industry is the fourth largest in this edition of the EMO in terms of the number of exhibitors, and in fifth place in terms of stand space. The 36 companies will occupy 2,822 m2, in which they will offer important novelties in the fields of milling and machining centres, lathes, honing, electro-erosion, metrology, digitalization, automation and control, components, cutting tools and other technologies and services for advanced manufacturing.
After 18 months during which international exhibitions have been completely paralysed, except for the CIMT show in China last April, the celebration of the Milan EMO fair in October marks a starting point in the reactivation of intense international activity in a sector in which exports are one of the main characteristics.
The rapid advances in vaccines, predicted growth of demand in the main areas of the world and significant incentive measures in Italy to promote investment in new technologies are all elements that forecast a very favourable context for EMO MILANO 2021. The show represents the start of the big European shows, which include the 31st BIEMH, the biennial International Machine Tool fair that will take place in Bilbao from the 13th to the 17th of June next year.
Among its main novelties, the fair is presenting EMO DIGITAL, an area dedicated to illustrating the potential of digital technologies applied in the manufacturing world, and EMO STARTUPS, to highlight its contribution to industry in a sector in which innovation is one of the strong points. In addition, EMO MILANO 2021 will include a Speakers’ Corner, with a program of conferences and presentations on specific subjects of great interest in this sector.
