ZAYER, S.A. WILL SUPPLY TWO MACHINING CENTERS GANTRY TYPE TO THE SPANISH COMPANY PATENTES TALGO, SL. IN 2014

The recently signed agreement between the two companies involves the manufacturing and installation of 2 machining centers THERA 18000 model at its factory in Rivabellosa (Alava).

These machines are intending for expanding the capacity of machining of the company. TALGO has already two Zayer machines: (1) moving column machining center 20KCU model and (1) Gantry type machining center MEMPHIS 14000, both purchased in 2007.

The new machining centers will be used for machining the parts corresponding to the coach, and will be equipped as follows:

▪ Longitudinal travel (X): 18.000 mm.

▪ Cross travel (Y): 4.750 mm

▪ Vertical travel (Z): 1.100 mm

▪ Distance between columns: 4.000 mm

▪ ATC : 60

▪ 35º automatic head, 360.000 positions with electrospindle at 32 kW – 10.000 min-1.

▪ Feed up to: 50.000 mm/min

▪ CNC: Heidenhain iTNC 530 HSCI

The installation of both machines is scheduled for the beginning of 2014.
