ZORROTZ PRESENTS ERGO, THE INNOVATIVE LIGHTENED SEPARATOR FOR LONGITUDINAL CUTTING LINES

Zorrotz Legazpi S.L.L., a leading manufacturer of industrial blades for the cutting and transformation of steel, as well as of special sliding guides for MT, has developed a new product, aimed at the world of strip cutting in slitting machines.

Known in the industry under the name ERGO Lightweight Separator, this new product significantly improves on many of the characteristics of the “old” separators used in the different steel cutting service centres.

The separator, which was extensively tested during the development phase, has already been used and certified for production use in the service centres of benchmark international steel groups.

Exhibited to the public at the latest EuroBlech Trade Fair 2022 in Hanover, the ERGO

Lightweight Separator generated great interest from visitors.

This creation of the Zorrotz engineers has resulted in a complete redesign of the separator:

• The product has a much lower weight compared to the usual solid separators, thus improving ergonomics during machine changeover operations.
• Unlike other solutions, its innovative design makes it possible to guarantee all the mechanical properties when working under compression, without deformation, thus achieving the most precise tolerances and guaranteeing the quality of the cut even in the most challenging applications when working with reduced thicknesses and soft materials.
• The manufacturing process of ERGO By Zorrotz makes it possible to produce a solid part with a single body, guaranteeing a long working life.
• The use of colours allows for rapid identification of the different thicknesses, thus reducing errors in the changeover and assembly phases.

Zorrotz has high expectations for this new product and, with several service centres already using it, and following the commercial drive of the last few months, it is expected that important new orders will follow shortly.
